AS Roma eased past Brighton & Hove Albion 4-0 in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday night to book their place in the group stages of the competition.

Roma were in control from the off and took the lead in the 12th minute through Paulo Dybala. Romelu Lukaku doubled their advantage just before half-time, before Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante added further goals in the second half.

Brighton offered little threat throughout the match and were unable to register a single shot on target. Roma, meanwhile, were clinical in front of goal and could have won by a more emphatic margin.

The result means that Roma will now progress to the group stages of the Uefa Europa League, while Brighton's European adventure comes to an end.
